International Shipping Policy

Free Shipping: We offer free shipping to all countries with any order over $175 USD.

Update (03/01/2025): Due to Trump's Tariffs, we have raised the minimum order amount for free shipping to $175. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Note: Free shipping discount is counted in USD only. International customers will have to reach $175 USD in their respective currency exchange.

MULAN Hanfu shall not be held responsible for any shipping or delivery delays caused by unforeseen circumstances or events beyond our control.

Potential delays may occur due to public holidays, peak periods, adverse weather, flight availability, or facility staff shortages.

Refund Policy on Delays: There will be no refunds for delays unless the order is deemed lost in transit following a formal investigation.

Customer Action: If your order exceeds the estimated time, please double-check your shipping address and contact your local postal service.

Please kindly note: Updating the shipping address in your personal account won't affect the shipping address in orders that are already processing.

Shipping addresses must be changed manually by our team, so please let us know as soon as possible to ensure your package reaches the right destination.

We are strictly unable to change addresses after orders have been shipped.

To modify an order, please contact us or email support@mulanhanfu.com. Please include your order number in the subject line and provide details of the desired modifications.

Crucial Rule: We are only able to modify orders if they have not been shipped. Our ability to make changes depends on the specific construction periods of your items.

Understanding Construction Periods:

  • Long Construction Periods: Orders for custom-made or pre-order items with longer tailoring times offer a wider window for modifications.
  • Short Construction Periods: For ready-to-ship or short-cycle items, please contact us immediately as these orders process much faster.

*Once an order enters the shipping phase, no further modifications can be made.

What is a "Construction Period"?

"Construction period" denotes the specific timeframe during which individual brands meticulously sew and craft the garments you ordered. Usually it will be noted as [Pre-Order].

Typically, this process takes 10-30 days. However, periods vary by design. We strongly recommend checking individual product descriptions carefully for specific timing.

Note: Construction periods are estimates. They may fluctuate based on fabric availability, artisan workload, and other market factors.

MULAN Hanfu specializes in curating authentic traditional clothing from independent brands. These artisans create Hanfu in small batches to ensure the highest quality and historical accuracy.

Shipping Rules:

  • Orders containing items with a construction period will not be shipped until every product in your order is ready.
  • Once ready, we use standard shipping (YunExpress & USPS) with an estimated transit time of 7-14 days.

If you require Hanfu for an immediate event, MULAN Hanfu may not be the right shop for you at this time.

Aftersales Policy

Exchange Policy Notice

We currently do not accept exchanges for issues such as incorrect sizing, color preferences, or style changes. Please review the sizing tips below carefully before purchasing.

Finding Your Perfect Fit:

Chinese sizing typically runs smaller compared to US sizes. For first-timers, we highly recommend sizing up once or twice if you are unsure.

  • For Hanfu: Please add 3-4 cm to your body measurements for the best fit. (Hanfu always looks better with more fabric and is easily adjustable; too little fabric will look odd.)

  • For Qipao: We recommend adding 2-3 cm for a comfortable fit, or 3-5+ cm for a looser fit. (Qipaos can be altered in, but they must have enough room for you to walk comfortably!)

Pro Tip: Please consider the widest part of your body (whether it be the bust or hips) above all else when picking a size.

Damaged or Defective Items:

In cases of damaged products or other major imperfections, exchanges or refunds may be possible. Please contact us at support@mulanhanfu.com with:

  • Your Order Number in the subject line.
  • Clear photos of the item showing the damage.

To cancel an order, please contact us or email support@mulanhanfu.com. Please use the subject line: "Canceling Order #[Your Order Number]".

Cancellation Windows:

  • Standard Items: Orders for non-pre-order items can only be canceled within 3 days of the original purchase.
  • Pre-Order Items: For items clearly noted as [Pre-Order], we support cancellation within 14 days of the original purchase.

Once approved, your payment will be automatically refunded to your original payment method within 3-5 business days.

Return, Refund, and Exchange Policy

Strict No-Return Policy: Due to a recent update in our warehouse policy, we are no longer able to accept returns, refunds, or exchanges.

Reason: Returned packages can no longer be sent back to our partner brands due to a shortened return window, and items cannot be reused as future inventory.

Quality Assurance & Exceptions:

We stand by the quality of our curated collections. If you receive an item with significant damage or major defects, please reach out to us at support@mulanhanfu.com.
